The versatile ds32a is applicable to all medical specialities – including Cardiology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, ER, General and Family Practice and Pediatrics, for both Physicians and Nurses.

Features include:

• Amplified/Acoustic Modes – amplifies up to 50X with continuously-adjustable volume control to set the desired augmentation level. Or with a single click, Acoustic mode electronically produces the sound of an outstanding acoustic stethoscope, without the losses of sounds traveling up an air tube. Allows for instant comparison between amplified and conventional sound.



• Second-Generation Ambient Noise Rejection (ANR2) – Thinklabs pioneered ambient noise rejection with its patented EmD technology which intrinsically rejects ambient noise right at the diaphragm. ANR2 provides a new 2nd stage of noise rejection for even better performance in high-noise environments. Activate noise rejection when needed, or deactivate in normal office environments when noise rejection is unnecessary, thereby providing the purest audio dynamics. ANR2 gives you control of ambient noise.



• Electromagnetic Diaphragm (EmD) – Patented technology provides outstanding clarity by directly sensing diaphragm movement electronically. The ds32a is the only stethoscope to use an actual stethoscope diaphragm as an electronic sensor, so heart and lungs have a familiar sound, rather than the artificial or muffled sound of alternative sensors and microphones.



• Tunable Diaphragm –The EmD diaphragm provides tactile control over auscultation. Light pressure provides low frequency sensitivity. Increase pressure for greater sensitivity for obese patients or distant sounds. Further pressure accentuates higher-pitched breath sounds. Easy and intuitive to use, the ds32a has taken tunable diaphragms to new levels with both frequency and sensitivity control simply with pressure changes – familiarity made new.



• High-Power Audio Amplifier – With 2 AAA batteries for months of operation, and internal voltage boosting, the ds32a has the power to produce clear low frequencies for heart murmurs, with more headroom than low-power single-cell stethoscopes.



• Loudspeaker Drivers and Eartips – High-efficiency Neodymium magnet drivers are placed right at the eartips for highest clarity. Losses due to sound traveling through long tubing are eliminated. Soft silicone eartips require almost no headphone spring tension offering a new level of comfort.



• User-Friendly – 3 keys, with obvious labels (Power, Bell-Diaphragm, Amplify), a simple volume control, and color-coded LEDs make ds32a operation simple and quick, while providing unprecedented control of the listening experience.



• Mute Function – when your patient talks during a carotid exam, coughs, or a baby cries, mute the sounds at the push of a button.



• Fully Programmable Settings – Simply power up and use. Or personalize the ds32a to power up with every mode initially set to your preferences – Amplify/Acoustic, Bell/Diaphragm, ANR2 Active/Inactive, Auto Shutoff time 2/2/3/4 minutes.
